Alaina's Mighty Triumph

So many of us at Steppin' Up Dance Studio have had the privilege of watching Alaina grow over the years. When Alaina first joined, she was a quiet young girl who clung to a stuffed animal and kept to herself, rarely speaking or asking questions. As we got to know more about Alaina, we learned she suffered from anxiety and other challenges, which made it hard for her to fully engage, both in dance and elsewhere. Despite her feelings, she continued to show up and put in the work. Her teachers began to see progress, friendships being made, and her personality coming out. As teachers, we can all remember that pivotal moment when a student opens up - and we will never forget the day we realized Alaina had transformed. She has become a role model for the younger dancers, speaks up in class, supports her classmates and has shown her dedication to dance by taking every class she can. Steppin' Up Dance Studio is lucky to have her and we are excited to see her continued growth!
